INTERNATIONAL RESCUE CAT DAY 2 March 2022

Every year on March 2nd, the International Rescue Cat Day is commemorated. There are many homeless cats on the streets who are just waiting for a day like this when someone will come along and take them in as a member of their family. To adopt a cat, all you have to do is go to a pet adoption agency, who will conduct their due diligence and proceed with the adoption after everything checks out. Humans cherish most domesticated cats for companionship, especially for people who work from home or live in apartments.

HISTORY OF INTERNATIONAL CAT DAY

Cats are domestic animals with keen teeth, fast reflexes, and a robust body. In 1200 B.C., a cat was domesticated for the first time in Greece, after which it was introduced to Southern Europe. By the fifth century, they were common animals in Etruria’s settlements.

Henry Bergh created the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (A.S.P.C.A.) in 1867, and it was the first humane organisation to believe that all animals are entitled to respectful and gentle treatment, and that they must be protected by the law. The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) plays a vital role in animal adoption and rescue. Animal rescues, in general, serve the community by reuniting lost pets with their owners, providing shelter for homeless pets, and finding new homes for dogs. They contribute to the general health and well-being of communal animals.
